I make pretty cool things with a point.
I’m Gerard, a multidisciplinary designer based in Singapore, working across branding, packaging, product development, campaigns and digital experiences. I like turning ideas into things that look good, communicate clearly and make sense in the real world.
My background is in visual communication, with both a Bachelor’s degree and Diploma in Design Communication from LASALLE College of the Arts. I later completed a UX Design Bootcamp with Vertical Institute, adding user research, prototyping and human-centred thinking to the way I approach design.
At BarberBoss UK, I spent nearly a year working across BarberBoss, OOZZ and Muse&Rose, taking projects from early concepts through refinement and production across branding, packaging, product development, campaigns and digital. Along the way, I collaborated with teams in Singapore and the UK, coordinated with overseas suppliers and manufacturers, and supported and mentored junior designers.
The work even took me to the UK to meet the team in person, where I also experienced my first football match at Hill Dickinson Stadium during our campaign work with Everton. Not a bad way to see your work step outside the screen.
Before that, my work with DBS Bank and Mikomiko gave me a foundation in UI/UX, product thinking and design systems. I still bring that mindset into my work today, whether the final result is a website, a campaign, a piece of packaging or a physical product.
Outside of design, I’m usually playing guitar, singing, gaming or disappearing down some completely unrelated creative rabbit hole. Good ideas rarely come from looking at design references all day.
If you’d like to work together, talk design or just say hello, feel free to get in touch.
